Looking at a particular topic gives you the information you would expect:
Views
A view defines which content will be displayed for a
particular topic or the whole map. By default, there is no
special view attached to a map. In that, you can browse through
a map in a generic way.
On other occasions you would like to define a view
on a map or even on each particular topic.
- Generic View
- The generic view lists all topics with the same structure:
- As with maps you also find a navigation bar at the top. It
indicates the path of the current topic. To the left you find
maps/topics higher in the hierarchy.
- In the left box below you find the topic's basename, its types
(instanceOfs). Further down there are also all typed and untyped
resourceData elements. Below that there may be a list of all instances
of the current topic. At the bottom all non-data resources are
listed, if there are such.
- On the right-hand side first there is a list of associations the
topic is involved in. This list is sorted by the association
type. Different associations are separated by dotted lines; all the
members together with their roles are listed, except for the current
topic.
- In the second box we list all siblings, i.e. all topics
which share at least one common type with the current topic. Since
there might be several of those, the box might contain a list.
- Profiled View
- The profiled view is controlled by an editor of the view. Topic
presentations are reduced to lists of lists, whereby some information
is hidden, some is emphasized. In the online view hyperlinks lead to
other topics mentioned in the view.
Modes
Independent on the content, there might also be different ways to display
one and the same content. Some of these modes might be completely
cosmetic, others use simply different rendering techniques.
You can control modes via the Visualize tab.
